    Southold Real Estate
    Southold

Southold's official flag proclaims it the oldest English town in New York State. It was founded in 1640 by Puritans from the New Haven Colony. The Hortons Point Lighthouse on Long Island Sound, which warns of a dangerous shore line was commissioned by George Washington. Southold is located in the heart of North Fork wine country. In Southold, you can enjoy beaches, museums, nature centers, restaurants, and fall festivals in a town steeped in history.

    Aquebogue Real Estate
    Aquebogue

Aquebogue is the gateway to Long Island's North Fork, a distinguished wine region, and is home to such wineries as Paumanouk Vineyards. The hamlet, whose name is Algonkian for “end of water place,” sits at the mouth of the Peconic River. Aquebogue offers miles of sandy beaches to explore, or to just relax on.

    Baiting Hollow Real Estate
    Baiting Hollow

Baiting Hollow is a cozy hamlet nestled along the Long Island Sound in the Town of Riverhead. The area is known for its beaches and golf courses and begins the North Fork wine trail.

    Cutchogue Real Estate
    Cutchogue

The name Cutchogue is derived from an Algonquin word meaning "principal place." The Old House, built in 1649, is the oldest English-style house in the village. Cutchogue is home to some of the North Fork’s best vineyards and also supports an active art community.

    East Marion Real Estate
    East Marion

Population increase spreading outward from the original 1640 settlement of Southold led to the development of East Marion. First known as Oysterponds Upper Neck, the hamlet later became Rocky Point and was, for over 50 years, headquarters of a rescue station when ships were wrecked off the sound shore. East Marion is steeped in history and offers miles of beaches and farmland.

    Greenport Real Estate
    Greenport

The village of Greenport is located in the town of Southold and is the only incorporated community in the town. Greenport was once a whaling and ship building community. It is now home to some of the North Fork’s best restaurants and offers a thriving waterfront village, steeped in history but with every modern amenity.

    Jamesport Real Estate
    Jamesport

The hamlet now called Jamesport was first settled in the 1690s. The Jamesport Meeting House, built in 1731, is the oldest operating church building in Suffolk County. Jamesport is the eastern most hamlet in the town of Riverhead. Offering both sound and bay beaches, farms, and vineyards, Jamesport is the perfect place to be.

    Laurel Real Estate
    Laurel

The area was originally known as the "Middle Ground" between Southold and Riverhead. Portions of Laurel reside in both townships. Laurel offers award winning schools and a serene waterfront community.

    Mattituck Real Estate
    Mattituck

Mattituck is believed to have derived its name from the Algonkian name for "Great Creek". Mattituck Creek is used extensively by pleasure craft on Long Island Sound. It is only one of two harbors on the north side of Long Island on the Sound east of Port Jefferson. The community sports fabulous beaches and boating opportunities for all. Don’t miss out on a stroll down the famous Love Lane for a delicious meal or a one of a kind shopping experience.

    New Suffolk Real Estate
    New Suffolk

Reminiscent of Southold's New England heritage, this quaint hamlet was known in the 17th century as Booth's Neck. New Suffolk held trials for the first United States Navy commissioned submarine from 1899 -1900. New Suffolk's two-room school house is one of the smallest school districts in the state of New York. Nestled along the south side of the North Fork, New Suffolk is a beach community with a rich history.

    Orient Real Estate
    Orient

Orient village is a national historic district, built on land inhabited by Algonkians when English settlers arrived in the 17th century. Orient's excellent harbors and fertile land brought tradesmen, fishermen and farmers, who built their homes and shops as early as 1661. Orient is home to one of New York’s most beautiful beach parks. You can catch a ferry to Connecticut or Block Island from Orient Point or view one of several lighthouses off its shores.

    Peconic Real Estate

Settled by descendants of Southold's founders, this little farming hamlet was first known as West Southold Plantation. Peconic is home to many beautifully restored 18th and 19th century houses. A popular destination on the North Fork wine trail, Peconic offers fine dining and breathtaking sunsets.

    Riverhead Real Estate
    Riverhead

The town of Riverhead was created in 1792 as part of new jurisdictions after the American Revolution. Riverhead offers a mix of both indoor and outdoor attractions including agricultural farms and wineries, aquariums and local parks, cultural art galleries and theatres, golf, shopping, and historical walking tours.
